ELLIE CHADDOCK

Ellie Chaddock is an Ohio-based abstract artist whose work is guided by intuition, emotional awareness, and lived experience. Drawn to art from an early age, she discovered that creating offered a way to process and understand experiences that were not always easily understood. This relationship with art continues to shape her practice today.
She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Art Education in 2019 and spent several years as an art educator, guiding students to explore their creativity and find their own ways of expressing emotion and ideas. Teaching allowed her to develop a deep appreciation for the individual creative process and reinforced her belief in art as a tool for self-discovery, reflection, and connection. Later, she returned to school to pursue a second degree in radiography and now works as a radiologic technologist in interventional radiology. Her academic and clinical background has sharpened her awareness of human connection and interiority, deepening her interest in what exists beneath the surface—both physically and emotionally.
Ellie’s paintings are intuitive and often created without a fixed plan. She allows color, movement, and texture to emerge organically, creating work that balances softness and intensity. Her approach is guided by instinct, presence, and responsiveness, resulting in abstract compositions that invite reflection and personal interpretation.
Through her practice, Ellie seeks to create work that feels alive, approachable, and emotionally engaging. She hopes her paintings offer viewers a moment to slow down, pause, and connect with what lies beneath the surface, allowing for reflection and a quiet sense of discovery.
