Bold and confrontational, The Hierophant wrestles with structure, doctrine, and the tension between reverence and rebellion. Layers of stark white and ash-toned grey are disrupted by urgent strokes of red and grounded by heavy black forms that drip downward like weight made visible.
This piece explores authority — both inherited and internal — and the quiet resistance that stirs beneath it. It reflects the friction between tradition and autonomy, obedience and instinct, asking what we choose to uphold and what we choose to unlearn.
